If you are like me, and you're someone who works with computers on a routine basis, system performance is an important issue. Even if you are just someone who wants to make sure that your computer will do the work it's supposed to without lag, and run the games that you like.. you know that the most important things to keeping your computer running is to keep various programs from cluttering it up and dragging it's performance down. How many programs are on your computer that you never use? How many are running when you don't even know it? Most programs have background services that take up memory!
The most popular, quickest, and easiest way, of accomplishing said removal of unwanted apps, is to run the uninstall program of the unwanted program on your computer. Many user friendly software such as iTunes can be uninstalled completely by running the software vendor's uninstall program. To do this, 1st click "start", then click "All Programs" and search for the unwanted software, click it and then find the " uninstall program" shortcut. Click this and it will start the uninstall exe for the program.
There are many programs that can't be removed this way. In fact, some software programs don't even have uninstall files included with the installer at all.
Although you might not even look at them or use them ever, you'll find that these programs are still taking up space, and in many cases, sucking up your computer's resources.
